Angry staff join calls for Brooks to resign

POLITICIANS may have called for her head for days but angry staff at the paper she once edited joined those demanding that Rebekah Brooks resign last night.

 

Many blamed the newspaper supremo for helping to cause the demise of the News of the World. One MP even claimed that staff had paid for her “crisis” with their jobs.

News International had insisted all week that its chief executive would not resign following the phone hacking allegations engulfing the paper.
