Two Australians missing in Libya as evacuation continues | The Australian: "THE Gillard government has 'serious concerns' for the wellbeing of two Australians in Libya thought to be detained by authorities and is unable to contact a further 12.

Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd has raised the case of two Australian men with the Libyan ambassador in Canberra today, requesting they be urgently granted access to Australian officials
Mr Rudd told the parliament the government had received reports an Australian citizen may have been detained by Libyan officials on 21 February in Tripoli.

A dual Australian/Libyan national was also reported to the Australian government on 6 December 2010 as being detained, Mr Rudd said.

The Foreign Minister said he today called in the Libyan ambassador and demanded consular access be extended to the Australians.

'I conveyed Australia's expectation that immediate consular access be granted to these men,' he said."
